How the impact pulverizer works
Raw material enters through the hopper and is fed into the grinding chamber, optionally by an automatic rotary feeder. High-speed hammers fling it against liner plates. The whizzer classifier then separates the particles: fine product passes to the cyclone and is bagged, while oversize is returned to the chamber for further grinding. The loop continues until the desired fineness is reached. Fineness is adjusted at the whizzer blades in the cone rather than by changing a screen.
Design and construction
- Heavy-duty, precision-machined casing for airtight, low-vibration running.
- High-speed rotor with swing-out hammers that retract if they meet foreign objects.
- Integrated blower and whizzer classifier forming a closed-circuit loop with pneumatic discharge and cyclone collection.
- Screen-less operation — nothing to clog or tear.
- Extra-large dust collector available for oily spices and for dust-free, cool grinding.
- MOC options: MS, CI, CS, SS or SS lining.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is an impact pulverizer called screen-less?
Fineness is controlled by the whizzer classifier, not a perforated screen. Oversize particles are thrown back into the grinding zone, so there is no screen to blind or break.
Is the impact pulverizer suitable for turmeric?
Yes, as the fine-grinding stage after pre-breaking turmeric to 3–5 mm in a Miracle Mill. Small installations sometimes use only an impact pulverizer followed by a vibro screen.
What hardness can it handle?
It is designed for materials of medium to soft hardness such as gypsum, limestone, china clay and soapstone. Very hard or highly abrasive materials need a separate evaluation.
