Pulverizer & Grinding FAQs
What is a pulverizer machine?
A pulverizer machine reduces solid materials to powder by impact, shear or attrition. Industrial types include hammer mills, micro pulverizers, pin mills, impact pulverizers, air swept mills and classifier mills. Each suits different materials and fineness levels.
Which pulverizer is best for my material?
It depends on hardness, fibre, oil and moisture content, heat sensitivity, required fineness and capacity. Use our material-to-machine guide, then confirm with a trial in our Ahmedabad demonstration room.
What fineness can your pulverizers achieve?
From coarse granules to about 450 mesh (37 µm) on classifier mills, and around 10 µm on sugar with the turbo classifier mill, depending on the material.
What is the price of a pulverizer machine?
Price depends on machine type, size, material of construction, collection system and automation. Send your requirement for a quotation, or read what drives pulverizer cost.
Do you supply complete grinding plants?
Yes — turnkey spice, herbal, salt, grain milling, feed, energy food and carcass utilization plants, including layout, manufacture, erection and commissioning.
Where is Premium Pulman located?
2009, Phase IV, GIDC Industrial Estate, Vatva, Ahmedabad – 382445, Gujarat, India. We supply across India and to more than 20 countries.
Since when has Premium Pulman been making pulverizers?
Premium Pulman has provided pulverising solutions since 1985 and has more than 5,000 grinding installations.
How many types of pulverizers do you manufacture?
Twelve types are installed in our demonstration room, including the Miracle Mill (hammer mill), micro pulverizer, micro hammer mill, impact pulverizer, pin mill, universal mill, Wizzcon air swept mill, air classifier mill, turbo classifier mill, Whirlpul micronizer and wet hammer mill.
Can I test my material before buying?
Yes. Bring or send a sample; it is tried on different pulverizers with different screens, gap plates and grinding elements, and the product is checked by dry or wet sieve analysis.
What materials of construction are available?
Mild steel, cast iron, carbon steel, SS lining, SS contact parts and complete stainless steel (SS-304/316 on applicable machines), with manganese-steel hammers for abrasive materials.
Do you provide installation and commissioning?
Yes, erection and commissioning are supervised by our team; the group’s ancillary unit also provides troubleshooting and spares.
Do you export pulverizers?
Yes — Premium Pulman equipment is installed in more than 20 countries.
What information should I send for a quotation?
Material, feed size, moisture/oil content, required fineness (mesh or micron), capacity in kg/hr, MOC and any special requirements such as dust-free operation or cool grinding.
Do you supply spare parts?
Yes — hammers, screens, pellet dies, rollers and other wear parts for equipment supplied by the group.
Can you grind heat-sensitive materials?
Yes, using air-swept and classifier mills, water-jacketed chambers, chilled inlet air or the Whirlpul micronizer. See our cool grinding guide.
Do you make pulverizers for dust-free operation?
Yes — negative pressure systems, cyclones with rotary airlocks and reverse pulse air-jet dust collectors give dust-free operation.
Do you build customized pulverizer machines?
Yes. See OEM & custom grinding systems.
Can I download catalogues?
Yes, PDF catalogues are available on the catalogue downloads page.
