Typical herbal grinding flow

  1. Hammer crusher – swinging hammer bars cut big, irregular, fibrous or bulky pieces against a serrated plate into coarse granules.
  2. Pulverizing – Miracle Mill, Impact Pulverizer or Wizzcon Mill to fine powder.
  3. Micronizing (optional) – Whirlpul Micronizer for very fine or delicate cellular materials.
  4. Sieving – vibro screen with multi-deck screens.
  5. Blending – horizontal mixer for churna formulations.
  6. Dust collection & conveying – reverse pulse air-jet dust collector, bucket elevators and screw conveyors.

Key equipment in the plant

  • Hammer crusher – an advanced version of the traditional disintegrator; hammer type, breaker plate serrations, rotor speed and screen hole decide the output size.
  • Miracle Mill – MS, CS, CI, SS and SS-lined options; screen and hammer shape per application; cool grinding with no loss of oil, aroma and colour; quick screen and hammer change.
  • Impact Pulverizer – 100 to 1,000 kg/hr; screenless with whizzer-cone classification; extra-large dust collector for oily materials.
  • Whirlpul Micronizer – multi-chamber rotor in a liner-plate casing with re-cycling duct.
  • Horizontal mixer – homogeneous mixes in 6–8 minutes, dust-proof with stuffing boxes.
  • Reverse pulse air-jet dust collector – collection hopper, filter bags with galvanised wire formers, solenoid valves, header and electronic timer.
  • Bucket elevators and screw conveyors – 250 to 25,000 kg/hr; MS or SS; variable speed drives.

Why it matters for herbal products

Herbal actives are often heat-sensitive and herbs vary widely — fibrous roots, oily seeds, brittle barks, light leaves. One machine rarely suits all. A plant that combines crushing, the right pulverizer for each group of herbs and closed dust collection protects potency, gives consistent mesh from batch to batch and reduces product loss. Ayurvedic and herbal brands including Patanjali, Dabur, Baidyanath and Emami appear among the users listed by Premium Pulman.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which mill is best for fibrous herbs?

The Wizzcon air swept mill and the micro pulverizer handle fibrous herbs well. Very hard roots and barks should first pass through a hammer crusher.

Can the plant be built in stainless steel?

Yes — contact parts or complete machines can be supplied in SS.

Not sure which pulverizer fits your material?

Send us your material, required fineness and hourly output. Our application engineers will recommend a machine and can arrange a trial grind in our demonstration room in Ahmedabad.
