How the air swept mill works
Material is fed through a wide hopper into the grinding chamber, where swing hammers — double-ended or star-type — rotate at high speed. Replaceable liners protect the body. A built-in classifier (whizzer) grades the particles; fine powder is conveyed pneumatically to a cyclone collector by an integrated fan, while oversize stays for further grinding. Adjusting the classifier sets the fineness, and hammer type and weight are selected for each application.
Key features
- Precision fabrication – close tolerances for good sealing and low air leakage.
- Heavy-duty bearings for cool, stable running; a flyback system protects hammers and liners from hard foreign material.
- Adjustable classification – whizzer blades tuned for mesh size and uniformity.
- Cyclone on an MS frame plus fabric bag dust collector for clean exhaust.
- Auto-feeders on larger models for continuous operation.

Typical role in a plant
In turmeric processing, the Miracle Mill pre-breaks fingers to 3–5 mm and the Wizzcon mill does the fine grinding. In herbal plants it is the workhorse for fibrous roots, barks and leaves. Spice plants use it for starchy materials such as turmeric and ginger.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is an air swept mill?
A mill in which an air stream sweeps ground particles out of the grinding chamber through a classifier, so only particles fine enough leave the mill. It needs no screen.
Is the Wizzcon mill the same as an air swept classifier mill?
Yes — Wizzcon is Premium Pulman’s name for its air swept classifier mill with whizzer classification.
Which materials suit the Wizzcon mill best?
Fibrous and starchy materials such as turmeric, ginger, herbs, roots, leaves and seeds, as well as soft minerals.
