Minerals and suitable machines
| Mineral | Machine |
|---|---|
| Gypsum, limestone, china clay, soapstone, bauxite, chromite, mica chips, coal | Impact Pulverizer (60–325 mesh) |
| Magnesite, red oxide, charcoal, burnt bones | Wizzcon Mill |
| Dolomite, graphite, calcium carbonate, kaolin, mica, clays | Whirlpul Micronizer |
| China clay, precipitated silica, ultramarine blue | Turbo Classifier Mill |
| Coal samples (laboratory) | Baby Micro Pulverizer |
Turbo classifier mills are recommended for materials up to Mohs 3. Harder or highly abrasive minerals require evaluation.
Hardness and abrasion
Most Premium Pulman pulverizers are designed for soft to medium-hard materials. Abrasion drives wear on hammers and liners, so manganese-steel hammers, replaceable liners and the right tip speed are selected for each mineral. Send a sample: our demonstration room can run trials with sieve analysis.
Laboratory sample preparation
Baby micro pulverizers have been supplied to Singareni Collieries Co. Ltd., Kothagudem, for coal sample preparation — a compact, robust solution for labs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What fineness can be achieved on limestone or gypsum?
The impact pulverizer typically delivers 60–325 mesh; finer grades are possible on classifier mills subject to hardness.
